Electric Youth
The girls were really excited about the static electricity at Grandma Janet's house. They felt that it merited a picture. And of course, random pictures merit a blog post.
Violet: When I get up can I do whatever I want? Like... can I do dangerous things like bang a hammer on a glass door?
Violet: Both of us were screwing around and not eating today Mommy.
Mommy: I like this better than Papa John's (referring to the pizza we were eating.)
Violet: I don't know who Papa John is.
Anara: No, it's not Papa John it's Papa Joe (a man at church who gives the girls suckers).
Violet: Do you love sleep the best?
Mommy: Yes but only because I don't get very much of it.
Violet: Did you used to sleep before you had babies?
Violet: I'm still sick.
Anara: Me too. I have a cold.
Violet: No you don't Anara.
Anara: Yes I do. I'm getting cold.
Violet: You mean you are cold?
Anara: Uh huh.
And speaking of big heads...
...what about abnormally long tongues. Both Violet and Edison have really long tongues. The lactation consultant attributes difficulty we have had nursing to the length of their tongues. Here are some pictures so that you can get an idea of what I am talking about. Edison isn't quite sticking his out to full capacity but you get the gist.

New Hat
Violet has a pretty nice sized melon. She came by it honestly because Nate and I have unusually large heads. I can't seem to find children's hats that fit and most of the grown-up hats lack a way to fasten them. A friend knit Violet this hat and it stays on perfectly - it's also pretty cute.

Every intention of catching up...
I really did plan to sit down and fly through several posts so that I would have them to add to the 2008 Blog book. I still plan on doing this but it might take a few more days. Anara and Edison are snotty and Violet has a recurring fever and vomited last night. I am hoping that everyone will make full recovery by tomorrow and tomorrow evening can be spent catching up the blog :)
On a happier note, Edison is 9 weeks today and his weight on Sat. was 15 lbs 6oz. He is a chunk.
