Pretty good night

Things got much better last night. Anara finally stopped jerking and was able to sleep pretty well. She woke up when nurses were messing with her but she was calm and able to go back to sleep. I am so thankful that she was able to finally relax.

The nurses and doctors have been terrific. Anara has several doctors with three different services (urology, orthopedics, and pain services) checking in on her. Everyone works together to come up with the best solution. We are confident that she is receiving the best care possible.

Good morning Amanda,

Glad to hear the night went better. Hope you were able to sleep a little. Claire just woke up and asked how Anara was when she saw me posting.

Peace in Christ,

Dave & Claire

I completly understand the fear of seeing your child laying there and you can't do anything to help them except to pray and that is all you really can do. You have to be your childs voice when they can't tell you what is wrong. I remember sitting there with Hunter so many times after surgery and looking in his eyes as he is crying and him looking at me and just thinking that he was telling me what was wrong and what he needed. God is with both of you!!! If you don't know anything else...know that!

I am here if you need ANYTHING!!

Hi Nate and Amanda,
I have also been praying for you guys all weekend. And obsessively checking your blog every few hours to see if there is any update. I am curious about a few things, if you wanted to post answers sometime. Will Anara be able to move around at all with the erector set attached (that's what Brad calls it)? Or will she have to be flat on her back the whole 6 weeks? I'm also curious how the catheter works, but maybe not everyone wants to read a post about that....

Love, Christy
